Students from the MA Fine Art and MA Curatorial Practice courses joined with BA Fine Art students to visit one of the art capitals of the world.
The study trip included visits to Dia Beacon, a private introduction to the photography archive at MoMA and a tour of Chelsea galleries by Carol Diehl, a Contributing Editor to Art in America.
The highlight for MA Curatorial Practice student Alessandra Chiericato was the opportunity to interview, the chief curator at the Guggenheim, who explained the way in which the museum’s research projects and exhibitions were developed and realized. Alessandra described the experience as an incredible into one of the world’s leading art institutions.
