Turner Contemporary launch project for curatorial students

Turner Contemporary’s successful collaboration with the University for the Creative Arts has resulted in a joint MA Curatorial Programme, developed in partnership with the MA course team at UCA Canterbury. As part of the new course programme students joined Karen Eslea, Head of Learning at Turner, to develop a live project in response to the gallery’s current exhibitions of work, which sees new sculpture and film by Dorothy Cross alongside landscape paintings by Turner, Constable and their 18th and 19th century contemporaries. Culminating in a live public event at the gallery on Wednesday 4th December, the students are working with alumni from the MA Fine Art course at Canterbury to examine various themes and ideas addressed in the exhibitions. Members of the public and university community are invited to attend the students’ presentations by registering their interest at: http://www.turnercontemporary.org/whats-on/00000000871/student-showcase
