Recent graduate, Gigi Yutsz, has continued the momentum from her recent MA Fine Art at Canterbury with the launch of a new magazine called BUBBLE TEA. A former photojournalist with Marie Clare in Hong Kong, Gigi found success last year whilst at UCA with two public art commissions, including one from Strange Cargo as part of their 2013 Cheriton Light Festival.
Following her positive experience as an international student in the UK, Gigi has developed the magazine as “a hub for Chinese speaking students from China, Hong Kong, Taiwan,
Singapore, Macau and Malaysia.” As well as reviewing the latest art events and news, BUBBLE TEA is essentially a guide to alternative places to hang out in the UK. The new magazine follows on from Gigi’s recent published guide to Berlin.
BUBBLE TEA is currently available at various embassies in London, as well as in Chinatown and at the university campuses and International offices of UCA, ULA and Goldsmiths.
